Ooh Aah Radio Star!

BBC Radio Cambridgeshire contacted us recently wanting to know all about Hope Revolution! Jim went into the studio for a Sunday morning interview talking about Schools Challenge. Host Catherine Carr was keen to know more about this summer's event and promised to invite us in again nearer the time. It's great to be able to fill the radio weaves with the good news of what God is up to!

Schools Challenge Delivered

Last Fridays Hope Revolution FLAME event went down a storm! Young people from Netherhall School showcased their schools challenge project with a groovy 2 minute video and a live interview on stage. They spent several after school sessions sorting out the paper recycling at the school, simply serving others. Brad Hawkes from New Generation spoke movingly about how God is using young people all over the world who will stand up for him in their schools. Watch out for the revolutionaries coming your way!

Starbucks Alpha!

The Hope Revolution Team have just announced an exciting new project for the autumn. The Starbucks store on Cambridge Retail Park have agreed to play host to 'Hope Explored' a ten week introductory course starting on 28th September. Open to young people from all over Cambridge, each Sunday Night sesh will feature a 3o minute interactive and multimedia presentation, outlining the basics of the Christian faith. We have exclusive use of the store from 7.00-8.30pm with their regular staff serving frapuccinos and muffins galore! Spread the word!

Hannah Gets SASSY

Hannah has started a new placement with Queen Edith Chapel. She helps run the Sunday Night youth group called SAS (Sundays at Six) for 11-17's, and the Year 6 midweek club, 'Lasers'. The church are paying for her time through YFC, and are looking to appoint a permanent part time worker in the autumn. This is a great opportunity to expand their work in the community which currently includes midweek bible based groups from school years 1-12!

Wilbraham Warriors vs CUFC

An entire squad of aspiring young footballers attended the March Tour of Cambridge United. It was a very special trip which included the chance for the team to take penalites on the pitch at Half Time of the match against York City. The trip was arranged through the curate on the Fulbourn Deanery team, who plans a football themed service soon. Since the tour, one of the team member has started going along to the church with his friend!
